Nick Ervinck
The Belgian visionary visual artist consistently creates a unique world of striking sculptures that blur the boundaries between reality and virtuality. His works are steeped in sci-fi influences, often adorned in vibrant yellow hues, and combine traditional craftsmanship in sculpture with groundbreaking computer modelling. Ervinck leaves his mark on a wide range of media, from 3D-printed sculptures and ceramics to installations, prints, light boxes, animated films and drawings. Themes such as human anatomy, plants, masks and animals are a common thread in his work, but his art invites more than just viewing. The sculptures call for interaction and imagination, transporting the viewer into a world of colourful transformations and otherworldly scenes.
